The present study is an attempt to explore the historical importance of the social mobilization of subalterns, the Dalits of Cochin. It is an empirical study on the basis of both primary and secondary sources. Through a positivist approach, wide and the scientific arrangement of maximum available facts are incorporated with the study. Textual analysis and field study are the major operations adopted to collect data.
