In this study, tribes concentrated in the tribal predominant districts of Kerala such as Idukki, Palakkad and Wayanad are considered. The major findings of this paper discuss inequality in literacy and education backwardness of tribes compared with that of the total population. Besides, the study points wide gender gap and literacy gap existing within the tribal sub-groups. | ||
