| Sumari: | The present paper is an appraisal of the performance of JNUURM, a Flagship Programme, during the Eleventh Plan in Chandigarh. The present paper focuses on a comprehensive evaluation of the targets set for urban Development through JNNURM in the Eleventh Five Year Plan period (2007-12) in Chandigarh. Besides bringing forth the facts of the Scheme, an attempt has also been made to ascertain, wherever possible, the strengths and weaknesses of the Scheme and highlight areas which need greater emphasis by identifying the gaps which need to be addressed for more efficient execution in attaining the desired goals. |
